Refund Policy

1. 7-Day Free Trial

All new institute accounts on GyanRank receive a 7-day free trial with full access to all platform features. No credit card or payment is required to start the trial.

During the trial period, you can create exams, add teachers and students, and explore all features without any charge. If you choose not to subscribe after the trial, no payment will be taken.

2. Institute Subscription Refunds

GyanRank subscription fees are generally non-refundable. When you purchase a subscription, you gain immediate access to the platform for the full subscription period.

However, we understand that technical issues can occur. If you experience a platform malfunction that prevents you from using the core features of GyanRank, you may be eligible for a refund or service credit if: the issue is reported within 7 days of the subscription start date, the issue is on GyanRank's end (not due to your device, internet connection, or third-party services), and reasonable technical support has not resolved the issue.

We review each case individually and fairly. Dissatisfaction with the platform features (which were available during the free trial) does not qualify for a refund.

3. Yearly Subscription Cancellation

If you are on a yearly plan and wish to cancel, your access continues until the end of the current billing year. No pro-rated refunds are issued for the unused portion of a yearly subscription unless there is a verified technical issue as described in Section 2.

We recommend trying the monthly plan first if you are unsure about committing to a yearly plan.

4. Student Enrollment Fees

GyanRank facilitates payment of enrollment fees from students to institutes through Razorpay. These payments are between the student and the institute.

Student enrollment fee refunds are subject to the respective institute's refund policy. GyanRank acts only as a payment facilitator and is not responsible for institute-specific refund decisions.

If you have a dispute about a student enrollment payment, please first contact the institute directly. If you believe fraud has occurred, you may contact us at support@gyanrank.com.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email support@gyanrank.com with the subject line "Refund Request" and include: your registered email address, your institute name, the Razorpay Payment ID (found in your payment confirmation email), and a clear description of the technical issue you experienced.

We will acknowledge your request within 1 business day and provide a resolution within 3-5 business days.

6. Refund Processing Time

Approved refunds are processed through Razorpay back to the original payment method: UPI refunds: 1-3 business days, Credit/Debit card refunds: 5-7 business days, Net banking refunds: 5-7 business days.

GyanRank has no control over the processing time on your bank's end. If you have not received a refund within 10 business days of approval, please contact your bank first, then reach out to us.

7. Non-Refundable Situations

The following are not eligible for refunds:

  • Change of mind after using the platform
  • Dissatisfaction with features that were available and testable during the free trial
  • Failure to cancel before automatic renewal
  • Subscription fees for periods already used
  • Requests made after the 7-day window for technical issues
  • Accounts terminated for violation of Terms of Service
